The Resounding Voice Story

A Small Company with Big Vision

Resounding Voice

A SMALL COMPANY WITH BIG VISIONThe idea for Resounding Voice began in the late 1990′s when Jeremy and Joshua Erber worked as volunteers for a non-profit organization that, among other things, sponsored conventions with over 4,000 attendees. Over the years we noticed the decline in the quality of the recordings our service provider produced, as well as the time it took people to pick up their orders at the end of the event. Many attendees told us they didn’t even bother purchasing tapes of the event as the lines were so long. After a few years of discussing how we could run the taping booth and researching audio visual equipment, we approached the board and asked if we could provide this service. They told us that if we started a company doing it, they would hire us. Resounding Voice was born in the fall of 2001.

Our goal was simple: offer quality recordings quickly and efficiently to attendees. We went to work finalizing our design of a custom booth and purchasing the top of the line equipment, both of which were essential to meeting our goals. The years of planning paid off quickly, and our first few conferences, while definitely a learning experience, were a great success. With a few pieces of direct mail and a lot of word of mouth we quickly grew to 20 events per year, most of them with over 1,500 attendees.

Over the years we have consistently striven to perfect our services. When tapes were the main product, we had recorders with optical auto-reverse guaranteeing that less than a second of audio was lost as the tape flipped sides. Soon after that we added wireless microphones to each recording setup to guarantee quality recordings no matter what systems were in use at each facility. In early 2003 we were among the first companies to offer CD’s for purchase at an event.

We realized that as more people were purchasing CD’s we would need to produce them faster, so we designed a custom CD printer that allows us to print one CD per second. A few years later we started offering MP3′s, preloading MP3 players for those that purchased the entire conference.

Attendees always tell us how amazed they are when they walk out of the conference with a complete set of audio files just minutes after the last session ends. While technology evolves, the core mission of Resounding Voice remains the same. Today attendees may purchase a flash drive with a PowerPoint presentation synchronized to the audio instead of cassette tapes; we are still dedicated to giving your attendees the best quality recording as quickly as possible.
